To Make An Appointment with Your Doctor or Nurse
Our appointment system allows us to offer you an appointment quickly and efficiently. You can do this either in person, over the telephone or by booking online. You may also request a telephone call with a clinician. Obviously, it is not always possible to offer an appointment with the doctor of your choice as they may not be available at the time you require but we will endeavour to accommodate your requests where possible.
If you want advice please speak to our reception staff; they are highly trained and will treat you professionally. A brief explanation of the type of service you need from us will help them to direct you to the most appropriate person. Appointments with doctors are in ten minutes intervals so you may wish to request a double appointment providing you with more time. Patients aged 75 and over can request a fifteen minute appointment which we have just begun to pilot. Appointments with the Practice Nurse vary in length depending on the needs of the patient so it is very helpful if you can give the reception staff an idea of what you would like to see the Practice Nurse regarding.
To maintain a good level of access to our clinicians it is important that you let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment so that we can allocate it to another patient. To make this easier and quicker you can sign up to our text messaging appointment reminder service through which you can cancel appointments with just a few presses of buttons.
Appointments for the GPs can also now be booked online. The Receptionists will give you an individual password on request.
